19 October 2011 A,B,C are partners in the ratio 3:2:1. D is admitted in the firm for 1/6th share in profits. C would retain his original share. The new ratio between A,B,C and D will be?

How to Calculate?

19 October 2011 A 3/6-1/6*3/5=12/30
B 2/6-1/6*2/5=8/30
C 1/6*5/5=5/30
D 1/6*5/5=5/30

Therefore,New ratio=12:8:5:5
