Can anyone please tell me what category does LLP falls as per income tax act. What alphabet is issued for LLP(Limited Liablity Partnership) while issueing PAN card. We had applied for PAN card for LLP and PAN card has been issued to us mentioning alphabetical C which stands for Company. As a result at the time of filing income tax return, schedule VI is appearing & not schedule V.

Kindly contact NSDL persons or income tax officer that whether the category of applicant could be changed which i dont think is poosible. So you will have to cancel this PAN and apply for new one.
