06 June 2013 Somewhere on google I have read that head master of govt. school can also issue such certificate.

09 August 2024 The certificate issued by a gazetted officer generally serves as an official document certifying various details or verifying authenticity for purposes such as TIN registration, identity verification, or other formal requirements. According to the guidelines and procedures typically set by authorities like the TIN (Tax Information Network) site or similar organizations, the certificate must be issued by a person recognized as a gazetted officer.

### **Types of Gazetted Officers:**

Gazetted officers are officials whose appointments are published in the official gazette. They include high-ranking government officials and officers such as:
- **Judicial Magistrates**
- **Income Tax Officers**
- **Superintendents of Police**
- **Principals of Government Colleges**
- **Chief Executive Officers of Municipalities**

### **Headmaster of a Primary School:**

A Headmaster of a primary school, while holding a position of authority, is not typically classified as a gazetted officer. Gazetted officers are usually high-ranking officials whose appointments and promotions are officially recorded in the government gazette. A primary school Headmaster does not fall into this category.

### **Certificate Issued by Headmaster:**

If the certificate format available on the TIN site requires a certification from a gazetted officer, then the Headmaster of a primary school cannot issue this certificate, as he/she does not fulfill the requirement of being a gazetted officer.

### **Alternative Options:**

If a certificate from a gazetted officer is required, you would need to obtain it from an authorized person who meets the criteria. Some alternatives include:
- Visiting a local government office or the office of the District Magistrate.
- Contacting an Income Tax Officer or a similar official.

### **Steps to Obtain a Certificate from a Gazetted Officer:**

1. **Identify the Requirement:** Understand the exact type of certificate you need and the format required by the TIN or other authorities.
2. **Find a Gazetted Officer:** Locate a gazetted officer who can issue the certificate. This could be done through local government offices or specific departments as mentioned earlier.
3. **Provide Necessary Information:** Present all the required information or documents to the gazetted officer to issue the certificate.
4. **Receive the Certificate:** Obtain the certificate duly signed and stamped by the gazetted officer.

### **Summary:**

The Headmaster of a primary school cannot issue a certificate if the requirement specifies that it must be from a gazetted officer. You should seek out an officially gazetted officer to issue the necessary certificate according to the guidelines provided by the TIN site or relevant authority.
