I m 32years old and a mother of two kids, I am looking forward to do CA. Kindly suggest the kind of time i've to take out from my daily schedule and what are the challenges I would be facing up. I m actually thinking to apply for cpt or not.Kindly suggest asap.
I must say its a brave decision you are making. However, you should understand the level of commitment, dedication and time this course demands. It would be very difficult for you to manage kids (specially if they are not into school) and study at the same time. Also, After clearing IPCC Group 1, you will have to manage your Training also.
What I am saying does not mean I am demoralising you. However, you need to consider it practically.
If you are a Graduate, you may be benefited with the exemption from CPT proposed for Graduates once it is passed. This proposal in still with the Lawmakers and not been passed yet.
For CPT, devoting 2-3 hours of quality time a day would be enough, if you have Commerce Background. If not, you may need some coaching.
All the best Shashank

Thanks Shashank for your response, however would also like to know, once cpt is cleared how much average daily time required for studying.
Actually the answer to this question is quite subjective. Since you have kids, I can't say exactly how much quality time you would be able to spend.
Also, the time requirement may be different to different people. Some may do it in as low as 3 Hrs a day. For others even 12 hrs a day might prove to be less. It is completely dependent on how quickly you grasp things.
I also assume that you are out of studies for a long period of time. This is also important, as you may take a little more time than others to get back in rhythm.
