Mr Author, If you have ignored to take a purchase bill into account while filing a return, now file a revised return, giving reasons for it. If any refund/excess arises due to this revised return you can adjust it in thee payment of subsequent returns,or, the department will refund such excess amount of tax paid within one or two months. If you insist on refund you have to file DVAT form 21 not DVAT 38. Form 38 is for raising objection on wrong order levying tax wrongly. So first file the revised return and wait for some time if you do not want to adjust such excess against future payments.....MJK
