My client is employed in uk for past 2 years. He is getting rental income in India to the extent of 2.50 laks pa. Should he file tax return in India which is below limit. If yes under what status as Nri or resident .

Since his taxable income under the head house property is below threshold limit of Rs. 2Lacs, so it is not mandatory to file his ITR. However, he may file under the status as NRI.
