12 October 2011 Is there any specified sum limit for NRI's to give donation to any NGO's in foreign currency? if yes then what is the amount and also is there any further rules that r to be fulfilled regarding such type of donation to be claimed under tax deductions u/s 80G.

12 October 2011 There is no limit that NRI's can give as donation to NGO in foreign currency.

But the most important thing,the NGO should be registered under foreign Contribution regulation Act,2010(FCRA) before receiving such donation.

Such Donation can be claimed u/s 80G provided the he Indian NGO has valid 80G certificate.
