Nps deduction claim

09 April 2016 A person deposited cheque as on 31st march 2016 in the designated bank for the FY 15-16, however the the bank could not transfer the said amount in the NPS account as on 31st march, 2016. So in this case, is it possible to claim deduction by the person in for the FY 2015-16???
