14 January 2013 Please can anyone tell me excise duty is recorded in the books considering cess or not.
e.g Purchase worth 602910
Excise Duty @ 12% 72349.2
E.Cess @2% 1446
SAH E.Cess @ 1% 723.49
Now journal will be :
Purchase Dr. 602910
CCR Dr (Plz confirm this amt will be including cess or not)

20 January 2013 CCR should have three parts (i)Cenvat (ii) Ed Cess & (iii) SAH ed cess. because credit is available.
Their utilisation is restricted to the same group that's why these should maintained separately
