25 March 2012 Can we e-file return for the year 2008-09 & 2009-10 under MVAT?
& WHAT IS THE PENALTY FOR NON FILING?

26 March 2012 Since the matter is old you cannot and only physical return is to be filed and under audit you have to pay the penalty

M sorry to contradict CA Agrawal Sir.

As per my opinion in Maharashtra State , You have to file online return now for previous period also . as there is no provision to file manual return.

Penalty for Late filing of Return is Rs.5000/- per return .

If the delay is due to late registration thn you dont have to pay penalty and go for administrative relief.
