Hi Everyone, I am planning to take up mutual fund as a career. So will CA qualification be sufficient in order to be an expert in MF field or should i do other course like NCFM,CFA in MF.
in mutual fund industry, they will prefer MBA(fin.) & CFA over a CA.. for in-depth knowledge in this field plan to pursue additional courses apart from CA ... NCFM MF modules will be a very good starting point..
for practical exposure in this field, CA course curriculum offers very limited scope....and qualification alone will not fetch domain expertise...

No, ca course is not sufficient for being an expert in Mutual Fund Industry because it does not provide spectialised knowledge & skills required in Mutual fund Industry. This is evident from the fact that in campus placement programme of ICAI very few AMC participate and hire .For being a good Research analyst In MF industry One should either do CFA or MBA finance.Amfi certification course can also imrove your skills required in Mutual fund industry.
