03 August 2024 Transitioning from the MCA V2 (old) portal to MCA V3 (new) portal involves a few key steps and considerations. Here’s a guide on how to handle login and user registration issues with the MCA V3 portal:

### **Steps to Login and Register on MCA V3 Portal**

#### **1. Verify Digital Certificate Installation**

Ensure that your digital certificate is properly installed and configured on your system. The digital certificate should be correctly set up in the Java settings if you are using a Java-based portal.

- **Check Digital Certificate Installation:**
- Open Java Control Panel (`Control Panel` > `Java`).
- Go to the `Security` tab and click `Manage Certificates`.
- Ensure your DSC is listed under the `Personal` tab.

#### **2. Login to MCA V3 Portal**

**For Professionals Registered on MCA V2:**

1. **Access the MCA V3 Portal:**
- Go to the [MCA V3 Portal](https://www.mca.gov.in/mcafoportal/login.do).

2. **Select Professional Role:**
- Choose the appropriate professional role (e.g., Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant) from the options available.

3. **Login with Existing Credentials:**
- Enter your user ID and password. If you have registered your DSC, you should be able to authenticate using the DSC.

4. **Resolve PAN and Membership No Issues:**
- If the system indicates that your PAN and Membership No are already registered, you may need to reset your password or revalidate your registration.

#### **3. Create a New User ID**

If you need to create a new user ID but the system shows that PAN and Membership No are already registered:

1. **Verify Existing Registration:**
- Ensure that the PAN and Membership No are correctly registered on MCA V2. You may need to contact MCA support if there are discrepancies.

2. **Reset Password:**
- If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" option to reset it.

3. **Contact MCA Helpdesk:**
- If you still face issues, contact the MCA helpdesk for assistance. Provide them with your PAN, Membership No, and details about the issue.

**MCA Helpdesk Contact:**
- **Email:** mca21@mca.gov.in
- **Phone:** Check the [MCA Helpdesk](https://www.mca.gov.in/MCA21/) for the latest contact numbers.

#### **4. Address Registration Errors**

If the system indicates issues with the registration details:

1. **Verify Details:**
- Ensure that the details entered are accurate and match the records.

2. **Update Information:**
- If there have been changes or updates to your details, make sure these are reflected in the MCA records.

3. **Submit Support Request:**
- Submit a support request with detailed information about the error to the MCA helpdesk. Include screenshots if possible.

#### **5. Follow Portal Transition Guidelines**

Ensure that you have followed all guidelines provided by MCA for the transition from V2 to V3. This includes any steps for updating your profile or user ID.

### **Additional Tips**

- **Check Browser Compatibility:**
- Ensure that you are using a supported browser. MCA V3 portal may work better on certain browsers.

- **Update Java:**
- Make sure that you are using the latest version of Java, as older versions may cause issues with portal functionality.

- **Clear Browser Cache:**
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies to avoid issues related to stored data.

By following these steps, you should be able to address the login and registration issues on the MCA V3 portal. If problems persist, MCA support is the best resource for resolving specific issues related to your user account and portal access.
