Make a Scrap of Finished Products

We want to convert our one finish product in to Scrap. So want procedure we have to follow for Excise.

21 April 2010 Basically the excise duty is levied on manufcaturing activity. When the finish goods were emerged that was a result of manufacturing. Now converting into scrap is not manufacturing. So there is no procedure because scrap is also marketable and liable to fetch a value. What so ever value it carrys, that is liable to duty.
