Hi...
If a Property bought before 01.04.1981 and proposed for sale, which year value to be considered for working out long term capital gain. Valuation as on 01.04.1981 with working of indexation subsequently or the valuation as on date of actual sale transaction.
Please advise.

valuation as on 01.04.1981 should be considered as purchase value for calculation of long term capital gain
