05 July 2015 I am a qualified company secretary having experience in corporate law and accounts for over 2 years in a reputed organisation. Later, due to frequent relocations post marriage, I could not commit myself for a full-time job, and I now have a gap of almost 3 years. I am updating myself with the changes in law and have a good academic track record. I am also pursuing further studies (doing CA inter to hone my accounts knowledge). Now I really want to support my family financially, however, I find it hard to get interviews.

Though I am eager to start practice and believe I may be able to achieve work-life balance better with practice, I am a bit apprehensive about the financial risks involved in it.

Please advise me on how to proceed further.

07 July 2015 I would suggest you to get in touch with good job consultants/firms for getting job opportunities.

You may also use premium paid services offered by various job websites. I am sure a small job will be able to remove the tag of 3 years gap. So keep trying and keep updating yourself.

All the best

07 July 2015 Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Could you please also let me know your views on starting practice?

Thank you.

12 July 2015 As per my opinion direct entry to practice is not a good idea. First try to find out a good job and brush up your skills and then think about practice.

Thanks
