hi, plz guide me on the foll issue: i joined articleship on 15.01.2007 and was on leave till 30.4.2007,then i took leave again from 1.11.2007 till 31.1.2008,again for a period from 15.3.2008 to 30.4.2008 i was on leave and last from 1.10.2008 to 15.11.2009 i took leave for my pcc nov 2008 exams. now i m regular with my training so this makes 9 months of leaves during a period of 26 months ending on 15.3.2009. however i went for training during my ITT classes for 1 month as reqd by pcc course;and this period is settled by my CA as a set off from my leaves.
my question is i want to take transfer from my present pricipal. plz guide me when should i do that so that i remain elligible for my final exams which are due to b held in nov'2010.my articleship ends on 15.7.2010. plz helf me out......

you have already taken excess leave then total allowed in 3.5 yrs. you will get extension in any case as you cannot appear in CA Final till your articles are complete. Unless your present employer adjsuts leave under 210 days (maximum in 3.5 years) you will loose your attempt.

ok but if i take less than 210 days of leaves in writing from my present pricipal on the tranfer form and then get my articleship from another who agrees not to mark me on leave theron. so wht will b ur opinion in that case??/ will that make any diff?? i want to save my attempt on any grounds.... whats ur calculation of 210 days of leaves allowed? is there any circular regarding that issued by the institute?? plz do reply >>>>>

if you are on paper showing 210 days leave even by working for more hours then your attempt is saved. in fact many students work extra and save attempt.

so that means 210 days are allowed to every article during the tenure ?? which comes out to be 1/6th of total period;without deduction of leaves. how is that so....... i m not clear on that issue sir. n thanks for your replies SIR.

n we have to complete our articleship before 1st nov??? that means even if it is completed on 31st oct. so what is to be done at the time of filling the examination form??

210 days is given by Principal to article. While filling the exam form you should be in service. In your case if Principal agrees to adjust 210 as leave then entire issue is solved. In fact I will request you not to take transfer as so much adjustment cannot be done. Complete CA and then do what you desire to do. Good Luck.
