Sir, I want to know that if our income source is a Shop (like Kiryana Store) then is it necessary to maintain books of account for the purpose of filling of ITR 4.

Books of account are any day essential as the same are required for various statute.. that shall give you a fair idea about your business .. else nor can you determine the business position nor the status of receipt and payments etc..
