The main pointers to clearing this exam is writing what is actually expected and not glib. >> For IT, it is important to actually understand the concepts before you try to learn it, so unless it gets converted and understood in students terminology, the paper screws up. So, take up video lectures by IT professor, if there is a lack of understanding and otherwise read it thrice-four times and then try appearing for papers( past papers) and analyse and work on defeciency. A daily 1 hour IT would be better than a revision after a month for retention IMO.
>> SM: SM as a subject is management subject which you would be accustomed to since 11th standard. So understanding should not be a main issue unlike IT. So read understand, test, analyse and work on deficiency.
Lemme know if any further pointers are required for the same.

Your strategy and approach for IT and SM must be different as one is a purely technical paper and another is a strategic paper. Institute expects you to write answers that are close to what is exactly given in the study material, however in SM you can impress upon the examiner with your qualitative / analytical answers so that the examiner can award you exemplary marks.
