It is too general a question. The avenue for investment depends upon:
1. Your risk appetite 2. Your satisfaction(expectation)level 3. Your watchfulness 4. The disposable income you can afford
It is not as if the avenues are fixed and on the basis of one time advice you can go ahead. The advice itself will have to be continuous and learning therefrom should also be.

There are also some good sites, uploaded , which will help you analyse the investm,ents keeping in mind your objective of investments. Check the recomended links portal for this. Also, there's a site called personalfn.com, check this site
