Invesment

This query is : Resolved

20 October 2013 i am thinking to invest 100000 in Fixed Deposit for 5 yr. Is there any better option than fd? I dnt want to take any risk.

20 October 2013 If you are risk averse, then you could be better placed by investing in FD only. The current markets are too volatile for someone who wish to keep the risks at bay.

20 October 2013 Agree with Expert,
FD is always safer option to invest,
You can invest such amount in NSC or in KVP too...

Certificates can be kept as collateral security to get loan from banks.

Investment up to INR 1,00,000/- per annum qualifies for IT Rebate under section 80C of Income Tax Act.

Rate of interest 8.50%.
Maturity value of a certificate of INR.100/- purchased on or after 1.4.2012 shall be INR. 151.62
