Dear Sir,
I am filing a return of income for the A.y.2009-10 for which tax liability is Rs.4,359/- I think only Interest U/s. 234A attracted & not 234B & c. & the Interest is Rs.131/- Can anyone confirm my figs.

U/S 234 A int @ 1% pm or part of month is to be calculated from 1.08.2009, so if you paid SAT on mar.2010, then int for 8 months is 349/-, 234B/C NA.

agree 234A is appicable 234b&c is applicable for not fail to deduct or lower deduction of advance tax.
