17 October 2013 Can i take input credit of service tax paid to broker, when i am paying brokerage to him for finding tenant for my property which i am giving on rent and charging service tax on it i.e. Output Service Tax?

17 October 2013 when you are letting out of your property no sevice charge will be attracted tds eill be attracted when gross rent received is more than rs 180000 p.a then the tenent will deduct 10% tds u/s 194i

17 October 2013 I am liable to charge service tax as per service tax law.


17 October 2013 It may be liable for service tax if value of service (i.e.Rent) more than 10 lakhs for the year and not let out for residential purpose.

And if it so , then Input tax credit of service tax paid to broker can be availed against such liability
