06 December 2011 what are industrial undertakings.? plz explain it in layman language..not in language of law

07 December 2011 Those undertakings would qualify as ‘industrial undertakings’ which are involved in ‘manufacturing activity’.

Just to give you an opposite example:

The activity of construction can, by no stretch of imagination, be treated as manufacturing activity as it does not amount to manufacture or production of an article or a thing.
