08 June 2009 Can I file Income Tax Return without Unique Transaction Number, if not how I can get UTN

08 June 2009 Yes, u can file your return without Unique transaction number. If any TDS is made on your income then the deductor will provide you the UTN. File your return of income without UTN. If in future you receive any deficiency letter u/s. 139(9) from ITO then at that time also you can submit the UTN with ITO.

10 June 2009 Upto any other clarifications from the CBDT or finance ministry,you can not file the ITR without UTN.
UTN will be provided by the NSDL.
