I have already agreed to the outstanding demands online. Before agreeing only it showed that " Transferred to Jurisdiction AO ". If assessee agreed to the demands and it has sufficient refund to adjust the demand , then there should be no need for the assessee to go to AO physically to get refund. If even after online response you are required to meet AO , then what is the meaning of the online system. Please guide me through the next step in getting the refund. Regards Raj C Doshi

Yes I agreed with you. but online system can verify some basic things which we have to accept and more than 90% of work is finished by online system. As per your query I think if you have agreed to sett off demand against refund that means you have previous liability which they always transfer to local ward to do proper judgement of your case. there are two possibilities if you contact you AO, they will ask to pay demand and they will pay you full refund or they will sett off your demand with interest and pay you refund. sometimes after sett off excess payable amount arise. So its better to contact AO for your benefits.

What documents should I carry for submission ? Any form for refund ? Tds certificates or 26AS. Does he have a right to ask for documents with regards to computation or financial statements etc.

I got the net refund without meeting AO. Hats off to the online system. This is indeed Good Governance. Thankyou all experts and thankyou to the modi sarkar for all their efforts.

Out of the total refund claimed as per return , they deducted the outstanding tax of earlier years along with interest. The net refund paid to
me along with interest thereon. Thankyou
