Income Tax on Rented Office

08 November 2008 Sir,

I am working in a company having a rented office from Nov-2008 we are paying rent 10000/- + Maintance 800 /- in Cash.

I want to know 1. IT Rate

2. On which amount i have to Deduct IT i.e. On 10000/-or also on maintance.

3. IT should be deduct monthly?

08 November 2008 Also on maintenance. If the rental is monthly, TDS is also monthly.

08 November 2008 Give two Options to Landlord to choose from:

(1) Let him receive Maintenance amount also and allow TDS to be affected from Rs 10800

(2) Let him allow Maintenance payment to be made by you directly to Sweeper and prevent TDS from Rs 10000
