Income From Salary

19 January 2009 Dear all Members If One Person's Salary is 20000 Monthly But Every Month He is Getting 15000 Lumpsum Amount in hand after the Deduction of Salary for those Days on which he is Absent. So For Tax Teatment and Return Filing Which Salay Will be Considered as Rs. 20000/- or Rs. 15000. This is The Deduction of Salary for those Days on Which he is Absent.

19 January 2009 As far as the Company is concerned, salary paid by it for actual days employee is present only is debited to expenditure.

Salary "lost" due to absenteesim cannot be treated as either of application of salary or voluntarily foregone by employee.

Hence salary received by employee for actual number of days he worked only becomes taxable.


07 November 2021 Check the form 16 issued by the employer.
