Is there any shortcut methods in checking the opening balances in tally . . . . ?

There is no shortcut for the same and in any case checking the Opening Balances is an important and the first aspect of an audit. It should not be done lightly as there are chances that the amounts have not been carried forward properly. It is advisable to check the same in details and with caution.
