13 February 2009 What is the difference between IAS and IFRS?

13 February 2009 Both are same. New IAS issued are known as IFRS.

16 February 2009 There is no difference between IAS and IFRS.
Both have been issued by the same institue, i.e. IASB - Internation Accounting Standards Board.
Earlier, the standards issued by this Institute were known as IAS. But, new standards are known as IFRS.
