Request Help in getting an expert advice on this issue: If one stays in a rented property and eligible for HRA, the person can claim HRA.
If the person registers a Flat in the month of March, for which he has been paying principle and interest for the last 5 years (No housing loan benefit was claimed till now, but HRA was claimed for all the 5 years).
The person cannot move to the registered property since interiors are not done yet and will require another 2 months.
The Question is, Can both the HRA and housing loan allowances can be claimed in this situation? or what can be tax exempted.

No. in your case only HRA can be claimed. till occupying the house. section 24(b) can be claimed only after construction completed. still interior pending also not occupied so he is not eligible for claim housing interest.
you can accumulate interest and can be claimed as pre construction interest in 5 equal installment
