02 February 2012 Any person who live in PG can claim exemption of HRA. I am confused because of payment made to PG cover both rent as well as fooding.

02 February 2012 Should the rent agreement mention Rs.6000 as rent. Then the claim for HRA to be allowed to fill extent. However if the rent agreement very clearly specifies the details of rent and food separately then HRA would be limited to RENT paid only.
