16 June 2016 Dear Sir,

I pay Rs 15000 as Rent and Rs 3000 as monthly maintenance for a rented appartment,
In the rent agreement, the monthly maintenance of Rs 3000 is mentioned that I pay to the owner apart from monthly rent.

so when claiming HRA benefit can I also claim benefit of Rs 18000(15000 + 3000) or shall I claim only rent of 15000.
expert Please advice, I am confused

16 June 2016 you can claim only Rs. 15000/- against house rent allowance.
