Hi, My sister is getting upto Rs. 1,50,000.00 as rental income from her house in mumbai. She does not have any other income. She has rented it out to a company. the company has deducted TDS for the same. Kindly advice how much TDS the company can cut. and how do i file the income tax for this year.

According to me TDS on rent is deducted @10%. You can file the Income Tax Return by mentioning the Income under House Property and also required to obtain the TDS certificate from the NSDL site for Refund Claim in case of excess payment of TAX.
