Can some body tell me what is the difference in the future prospects if a student registers himself as a Licentiate Company secretary (LCS) as compared to another student who undergoes the 15months training . As in , is there any specific benefit of being an LCS ? in the package etc ? and what is advisable ?

LCS means one has cleared CS final examination only,& have not undergone training & other requirements which are needed to be a member of CS institute.
Those who undergo training become members of the institute.
if one is doing only CS then it is of no benefit to be LCS alone, better go for training or hv some relevant exp. to get exemption from training & become a member of institute.

Hey thanks for the info..I'm pursuing Ll.b. as well.. I got to hear that after registering as an LCS , we can get a job of Assistant company secretary's profile and thereafter we can undergo the training from the same company and then register as a CS... Is this info correct ? plz clarify and elaborate on the same..it wud b much appreciated !!

Dont know about this. But for sure after clearing CS Final one has more chances to be selected as assistant to Company Secretary & get relevant experience or else undergo training with the same.
If one has relevant exp. training can be exempted also.
U can apply for job assisting CS. All the best :)
