30 September 2013 If contract is entered into by purchasing company with seller on the basis of "to pay freight" (I.E. Freight is paid by purchaser) My question is that can seller charge VAT on total amount (including Freight Amount) ???

30 September 2013 Its depend upon your accounting method

some are doing and some are not doing

but both are correct method

nothing is going to be wrong even if not collected then no need to deposit or if collected then deposit by doing calculation

Basic Value + All Charge/Expense= Total + tax @__ = total including tax

Basic Value + tax @ ___ = total + All Charge/Expense = Grand Total
