19 March 2014 as a manufacturer can we take cenvat credit on inward transportation after taking abatement also.???
Exp: Inward Transportation Rs.50000
S.T.: 50000*25%*12.36% = 1545
can we take Rs.1545 as cenvat credit and adjust with excise payable.??

19 March 2014 Yes you can take CENVAT credit of service tax.

You can also utilize such CENVAT credit against excise duty liability.
