07 July 2024 Facing an error like “the return period in uploaded JSON file does not match the return period for which the refund application is created” can be frustrating, especially when you’ve ensured that all details are accurate. Here are steps you can take to resolve this issue and file your refund application online:

1. Double-check Dates: Ensure that the dates mentioned in your refund application match exactly with the return period for which you are claiming the refund. Even a slight mismatch in dates can trigger this error.
2. JSON File Upload: When uploading the JSON file, verify that the JSON contains the correct return period and matches the details provided in your refund application form. The JSON file should correspond exactly to the period mentioned in your application.
3. Error Review: Review the error message carefully to see if there are any specific details mentioned, such as a discrepancy in the dates or format of the JSON file. Sometimes, the error might also indicate a system glitch or issue that needs technical support intervention.
4. GST Helpdesk Contact: Since you’ve already raised a complaint with the GST Grievance cell and haven’t received a resolution, consider contacting the GST Helpdesk directly. You can find their contact details on the GST portal. Explain the issue clearly and provide all relevant details, including your complaint reference number.

08 July 2024 Thanks for your tips Sharma ji,
