I have 1 doubt that is the limit of maintenance charges of Rs. 5000/- applicable to commercial Society also? my office is situated in a commercial society which is registered under GST act and maintenance is under Rs. 5000/- but than also our society is charging GST on maintenance charges. Kindly provide me clarification with relevant notifications.

The exemption of Rs. 5,000/- is not applicable to association or society other than a housing society or a residential complex. Please refer entry No. 77 of Notification 12/2017
