20 May 2010 1)If a person pays transport charges in cash to transporter then will service tax be applicable.

2) If a supplier of goods charges for freight charges in the invoice itself then will the same be liable to service tax.

Please provide the relevant source for your suggestion. It is very urgent !!!!

Whether paid in cash or cheque makes no differecne. Only confirm whether the trasporter is a owner/ operator [ not liable] of agent [ liable]

If supplier charges in bill you are not laible. when the supplier pays the freight to the GTA then he will be liable
