hello friends, well my query is whether the t-shirts given to the employees on the occassion of companies 15th year celebration should come under the head employees welfare or it should come under the head gifts.(the t-shirts are given with a direction that the employee will have to wear that t-shirt on the occassion of celebration)

If they are strictly directed to wear that t-shirt only on the occassion of celebration & not on their choice than it is treated as conditional gift and come under gift head but if they can wear that t-shirt at their choice than it is to be considered as staff welfare and treated accordingly.
