This query is : Resolved

09 December 2021 Actually I fill the form 102 but there is a difference between date of commencement and deed date so can i delete the form and take a new form of 102.

25 July 2024 In the context of filing Form 102, which pertains to GST registration in India, if you have made an error or need to rectify information due to discrepancies like a difference between the date of commencement and the deed date, you typically cannot delete the form once it has been submitted. Here’s how you should proceed in such a situation:

1. **Correction Process:** Instead of deleting the form, you should file for a correction or amendment to rectify the discrepancies in the dates mentioned.

2. **Amendment Procedure:**
- **Login to GST Portal:** Log in to the GST portal using your credentials.
- **Access Form 102:** Navigate to the section where you originally filed Form 102.
- **Select Amendment:** Look for options to amend or revise the details provided in the form.
- **Make Corrections:** Provide the correct dates of commencement and deed date as per the records.

3. **Re-submission:** After making the necessary amendments:
- Save the corrected form.
- Submit the amended Form 102 on the GST portal.
- Ensure all details are accurate and reflect the correct information.

4. **Documentation:** Keep records of the corrections made and any supporting documents (such as the deed) handy, as these may be required for verification.

5. **Professional Assistance:** If you face challenges navigating the GST portal or are unsure about the process, consider seeking assistance from a GST practitioner or a chartered accountant who can guide you through the amendment process.

### Note:
- **Deletion Limitation:** Generally, the GST portal does not provide an option to delete a form once it has been submitted. Amendments or corrections are the appropriate methods to rectify errors or discrepancies in previously filed forms.

By following these steps, you can effectively address the issue of discrepancies between the date of commencement and the deed date in Form 102 and ensure compliance with GST regulations. Always verify the information before submission to avoid errors and subsequent corrections.
