I registered for PAN of my wife in May 2011
Did i require to file return for FY 2010-11 ?
Or i can file return for FY 2011-12?

you can file FY-2010-11 also. PAN registration date will not do anything with return.

For filing the total income of assessee must be more than basic exemption limit, else it is a voluntary exercise at the will of assessee.
