18 May 2010 what is the time limit for filing of annual accounts and annual returns and one of the company filed its annual accounts and annual returns relating to 2006-07 and 2007-08 in the month of October 2009.and as per section 220 of the companies Act annual accounts must be filed with in 30 days and what is the consequence of filing belatedly.what are the applicable sections?

18 May 2010 For filing Annual Accounts due date for filing is 30 days from AGM date while for annual return it is 60 days from AGM date.

If you file it late than you need to pay additional filing fee as per authorised capital of the COmpany on the date of filing.

Section which you can refer are 220 for annual accounts and 159 for annual return
