31 December 2011 Hi Subir,

A trust receiving the foreign contribution have to comply with the provisions of FCRA.. A fund can be received in two ways... one is by prior permission and another is by registration... but you have to comply with atleast one of these two ways...

02 January 2012 But I read in the FAQ's which I downloaded from www.mha.nic.in (Official Website of Ministry of Home Affairs) where it was written that if NRI contributes from his own earning then it is not considered as "Contribution" thus FCRA doesn't apply. Association receiving contrbution have to just take a copy of Indian Passport from the NRI donor. So I'm bit confused. Please help
