We have expansion new plant in same premises of existing unit .
is it legal procedure for inform to Central Excise department ?

Not required under law to inform. However the input credit on constreuction service + capital goods credit when claimed may create a doubt unless the reason for the same is alos known to the dept. Always better tohave communicated in wirting by RPAD of expansion.
