Expansion of Business at new place

URGENT.............

We are undergoing expansion through IPO issue and the new unit will be at the different place from existing unit. we are presently incurring certain expenses regarding expansion project i.e.-project report, IPO regarding services, etc.

So, my querries for above details is:-
1. Whether we are required to take new ST And excise registration number?
2. Whether we can take ST & Excise credit for expenses incurred for the such new project in our existing plant ? if yes when?
3. Pls give details, regarding any provision for the above matters.

Pls give reply on urgent basis.

29 October 2010 As per my view,

1. Make necessary changes in ST and excise registration form, showing multiple premises.(not need to make new registration)

2. In Service tax amendment form, you have to mention centralized Billing location and branch location.

3. Services provided at new location (branch) can be shown in same old location Return

4. As considering expansion of business, ST and excise paid on expenses incurred for new premises, credit allowed in old premises business.
