Excise invoice basic details rubber stamped

I have read somewhere that the excise invoice should be pre printed with basic informations like Name of manufacturer address range excise registration number etc.. so my querry is whether these informations can be rubber stamped and such excise invoice is acceptable

02 August 2012 Dont use rubber stamped excise invoices. In Stationery market preprinted invoice is available. Either use that or go in for computerised invoice which is acceptable to the department. The purpose of the Government insisting preprinted invoice is, to identify first, second, third ....copy fpr availing cenvat benefits for the buyers and be sure that serial number should not be handwritten.
