04 April 2009 inadvertantly I have deposited 9000/- excess amount with service tax department, How can I adjust it now. and how to show in return.

04 April 2009 You can adjust the excess payment for the subsequent period.

The maximum adjustment permissible is 1 lac per month / quarter

While filing your ST3 return reflect this payment as advance payment
