Excess payment of ST interest

09 October 2009 Due to some miscommunication, M/s X Ltd. wrongly paid an amount of Rs 2000/- as Int on delayed submission of ST3 during April 2009.

Can it adjust the excess payment towards regular ST liability while making payment for ST for Sep 2009?
