28 April 2011 For IPCC, are we allowed to do rough work on the answer sheet?

If so, is there any page on which we're supposed to do it?

Thanks a lot.

Rough work which is done in calculating/working any solution/answer becomes a part of your answer itself. You can do it for any Problem. Just put a Heading to it that it is a Working Note. Use the place of anwer sheet itself where you are answering the question.

28 April 2011 Yes.. We're supposed to write working notes, but what I actually meant to ask was whether we are allowed to prepare, like, 'T' accounts in rough before solving the main sum, just in case. Is it at the end of the answer sheet or immediately after the sum?

Thanks.

Working notes does not have any format. One can do it in anyway which is convenient to him. So you can make “T” kinds of accounts or anything else too. You can do it immediately after you begin solving the question. You do not have to do it on the last page. The only thing you have to take care of is to mention it as “Working Notes”. Also mention the numbers to different working notes.

Working notes would be of two types. One which you do only for your convenience. Neatness in this type of Notes is not required. Examiner would not consider it in anyway.

Second type of Notes are those which are essential part of Solution. Make it neat and eligible. Your Marks would depend on the correctness of this type of Working Notes.
